Thank You for Your YES!
First off, I just want to say a huge thank you for saying yes to speaking on Sunday September 29. It’s a leap of faith, and we don’t take it lightly. When Crystal and I were talking about who in our church carries the calling and anointing to speak life over others, your names came up immediately. But it’s more than just the gift of communication—it’s the way you live, the testimony you carry, and the authenticity you walk in that made us confident in this decision. We see God moving powerfully in you, and we’re excited for what’s about to happen this Sunday because of your faithfulness and willingness to step into this moment.
Message Logistics & Guidelines
Now, let’s talk about the logistics for Sunday!
Each of you will have 10 minutes to speak. I (Pastor Abe) will kick things off with an introduction and then introduce the first speaker.
Once you’re done with your part, you’ll smoothly introduce the next speaker, and the third speaker will close their portion before I come back up to wrap up the service.
To help keep everything on track, there will be a clock by the sound booth so you can easily keep an eye on your time. Please be mindful of the time, as it ensures the flow of the service stays strong and impactful.
Let’s Talk about the Message!
The message will be titled “Words to Live By,” drawn from Proverbs 24:5-6: "It’s better to be wise than strong; intelligence outranks muscle any day. Strategic planning is the key to warfare; to win, you need a lot of good counsel."
The heart of this message is about recognizing that God often speaks through many voices, and true wisdom comes from listening to others. It’s wise to receive good counsel, and this Sunday is an opportunity for our church to catch revelation from God as He speaks through each of you.
The design of this message is intentionally open-ended because each of you will bring something unique—a unique statement, thought or revelation that’s burning within you, something you’re passionate about, or even a revelation God has given you some time ago. This is your moment to share that word with our church. We believe that what God has put on your heart is exactly what our community needs to hear, and we are excited to see how He will move through you.
Example for Setting Up Your Notes
To help you as you begin writing for your point, here’s a general example of the structure we’re asking for:
Main Point: "God Loves Everyone"
Scripture Reference: John 3:16
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, so that whoever believes in Him will not die but have everlasting life."3 Subpoints:
God loves everyone as if they’re the only one.
We can love because God loved us first.
God wants us to see the world the way He sees it so we can love the world the way He loves it.
This is just a starting point to guide you as you prepare your notes. Your message should follow a similar structure, with one central point, a supporting scripture, and a few key subpoints to drive the message home.
Next Steps
Below, you’ll find a form where you can fill in your ideas as you’re working on them. Once you submit, your notes will come straight to my email, and I’ll be able to help you workshop them if you need any assistance. Once your notes are finalized, we’ll create the graphics for projection to use behind you while you speak.
Also, I’d like to make myself available on Friday, the 27th at 7 PM to meet in person at the church. This will give us a chance to go over the message together and work on delivery, transitions, and the overall flow. If you can make it, that would be awesome, and we’ll be able to fine-tune everything in person.
If you have any questions during your preparation time, don’t hesitate to reach out to me—I’m here to help in any way I can.
Again, I’m so excited for this! I know it’s a challenge, but I truly believe it’s going to be an incredible day at church. I can’t wait to see how many lives will be impacted through your words. Love you, and thank you again!
